So what’s the difference?

Imagine yourself arriving at one of our spectacular outdoor training locations a few minutes before the session starts and greeting the people you’ve come to know as friends, you chat about your day at work, your family and whatever else might be going on in your life, you sign in with your Team Lead and wait in nervous anticipation wondering which instructor is taking the session. As the silhouette of the instructor appears from distance, the whispers spread through the group like wild fire, no matter which instructor is on, the whisper always seems to be ‘ah no it’s ……..’ from the offset the banter kick starts!

You know you’re going to have a workout like no other and be encouraged to get the absolute best out of yourself. You know you’re going to work hard during this session. You know you’re going to enjoy this; you always do and you always feel a whole lot better afterwards than beforehand. You take that last mouthful of water just as the Instructor calls out ‘Right Folks, Let’s Go!’

There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ training session, each instructor is different and each session is varied, this is why you’ll never get tired or bored with our sessions. On any given night you can expect a mix of:

CARDIO – CIRCUITS – INTERVAL TRAINING – STRENGTH TRAINING – ENDURANCE – BOXERCISE – KETTLEBELLS – LOCAL MUSCULAR ENDURANCE – CORE WORK – FLEXIBILITY

In layman’s terms that means we’ll be working your legs, heart, arms, lungs, tums and bums! This is a whole body workout; stand by to feel the difference…..

When we choose training sites there’s always a reason...

The Royal County is steeped in history and has some of the most spectacular and physically challenging training terrains in the country. There’s really nowhere more magical than the Hill of Tara or Bettystown Beach on a summer’s evening. Training in venues such as these is not just great for the body and mind; it’s great for the soul! All Ireland winning Meath Football teams and World featherweight champion boxer Barry McGuigan trained in these very locations when they were on their roads to achieving ultimate glory.

You’re in good hands...

Our fully qualified and highly trained instructors are totally passionate about fitness and they treat each member with the upmost of integrity and respect. They are positive, enthusiastic, focused, committed and creative. Our instructors come from a broad range of sporting backgrounds including; GAA, Soccer, Rugby, Athletics, Boxing, Swimming, Cycling and Adventure Racing. Variety is the spice of life! Instructors are supported by our Team Leads who will look after you in your chosen location.

Our Members make it...

Our brilliant Members create a very friendly ethos at Meath Fitness and a great sense of camaraderie and team work is built at each and every session. We look after each other; no one is ever left out or left behind. At Meath Fitness people make connections and ultimately friendships develop. Training as part of a group works and having a structure to your training works. It’s easier to stay motivated as part of a group and it is more rewarding when you can celebrate your successes with people who’ve shared your journey.

We hit targets...

Throughout the year we run goal focused weekend training sessions which have helped our members go from zero to 5k, 10k, and even marathons. We all enjoy training for the many adventure races that take place throughout the country, in particular Gael Force West. To help get you there Meath Fitness will measure and assess your improving fitness levels. We really are not concerned how fit or unfit you are when you join us but improving your fitness, is how we measure our success.

And when we go out, we go ALL out...

We try to gather as a group a few times during the year to celebrate the successes and let the hair down. We believe it’s an important part of the team bonding process!
